Racing Against the Tide In the freezing depths of Canada
In the freezing depths of Canada there's a tribe that go 'fishing' under the ice. The tribe is from Kangiqsujuaq in Canada. They are going a great length to catch fish from under the iced sea during the extreme tides of spring equinox to gather mussels.
It's really a race against the time. They have less than half an hour to search about these temporary caverns before the tide rushes back in.
There's always an out watcher to look-out for the returning tide, but the warning shouts can't be too loud in case the echoes bring down the ice.

Can The Penguins Fly?
Flying penguins or Miracles of Evolution is a BBC film trailer made in 2008 as an April Fools' Day hoax. The film was advertised as compelling evidence for Charles Darwin's theory of evolution. It was largely set on King George Island which is 75 miles from Antarctica.
The Daily Telegraph wrote that the film was "an instant classic. It is accomplished work of this kind that guarantees the BBC its unique status."
The BBC website still claims that it may attempt to film the flying penguins again because the original film did not explain how such small birds, that are not used to flying, could survive long migrations over vast, stormy oceans.Miracles of Evolution was filmed with animated penguins for the occasion of April Fools' Day, and to promote the BBC iPlayer.

We won't know until Nov. 11, 2011 (11.11.11) whether the world thinks Halong Bay is one of the world's most stunning natural landscapes, or seascapes.
Ha Long Bay, in the Gulf of Tonkin, includes some 1,600 islands and islets, forming a spectacular seascape of limestone pillars. Because of their precipitous nature, most of the islands are uninhabited and unaffected by a human presence. The site's outstanding scenic beauty is complemented by its great biological interest.

Earthquake In Japan Complicates Insurance
The unprecedented nature of Friday's earthquake in Japan, plus the damage from the subsequent tsunami and fires, makes estimating insured losses especially challenging, senior executives at two top catastrophe modeling firms said on Saturday.
But that does not equate in any way to a similar loss value. Guin said it will be days or even weeks until an accurate estimate can be made of what was lost, how it was lost, and what it will take to fix.
One problem, Guin said, is that the quake's damage was hard to model because its intensity and location were unexpected.
Eqecat, another risk modeler, said the earthquake was at least eight times stronger than any it had modeled in that particular part of Japan for the next 30 years.
Air Worldwide, Eqecat and RMS are the three major risk-modeling firms that help insurance companies predict where and how they will suffer losses and how severe they will be.
